It sounds like a domestic type of murder. I think someone payed to get this mother killed. How sad for those children who are now without their mom.

Denyse Phillip

A 48-year-old mother of four girls was gunned down at Pt Lisas yesterday evening.

Denyse Phillip, the sister of Woman Sgt Phillip, who police said is assigned to the Couva Police Station, was shot in the head around 5 p.m. Yesterday.

The killing occurred at the corner near the Brechin Castle roundabout, Pt Lisas, as Phillip left her workplace at Church's Chicken. Phillip, of Diamond Village, Claxton Bay, worked at Church's Chicken at the Pt Lisas roundabout, Couva.

She was standing on pavement outside her workplace, when a man wearing coveralls, and riding a bike, fired shots at her. She was hit in chest and died at the scene.
