Title: Street Dwellers

Comments: In my opinion, as I have said before, we must show compassion to our citizens who are down and out, and not confine them to some building which more or less represents a kennel for a pack of stray dogs. It is about time the government set aside funds to build and maintain a proper rehabilitation centre for almost all of these vagrants who are affected by drugs or some other personal affliction.
It is pointless having them hanging arounding the main commercial areas here. They will only resort to illegal acts such as petty crime, begging and all the other disgracful misdemeanours that are associated with such citizens all over the world.
It never use to be like this in the country. Something has caused the rapid escalation of such an internal problem in the last three decades, and again in my opinion the politicians are to be blamed for allowing growing poverty and neglect here despite all of our past and present wealth and having a small population.
