Title: Murder of old lady in Laventille

Comments: I get the feeling that if citizens had an equal chance and the finance they would all leave this evil island except of course the Mr Bigs, the masterminds of corruption and habitual murderers. Since independence we have drifted from bad to worse year by year.At present most of our citizens seem to have lost their self respect, self discipline, compassion ,determination and morals and make no meaningful attempt to put things that have gone wrong right again. The impression given is to allow more and more types of criminal activities to be added to the list of already acceptable crimes here as most serious crimes have now become overwhelming and obviously uncontrollable. Among this list are corruption, kidnappings and murders which have now become a daily occurrence. It seems sooner or later the evil act of rape will soon joint the list as it is now becoming more frequent. It is noticeable that the abundance of the various types of crime and general lawlessness on this island are now beyond the capabilities of the local enforcers of law and order, and with no assistance from the public the future seems bleak to say the least.

Trinidad gone to the dogs. I'm so glad to have left there awhile back. Where I am I don't have to worry about burglar proofing, car alarms or if I can walk down the street without being robbed. I feel safe here and I never felt that way in Trinidad.

Title: Murder of old lady in Laventille

Comments: It is dreadful to have to read about the deliberate and vicious murder and rape of this old woman. I really cannot comprehend why and how any local man born on on this island can behave in such an evil manner. I wonder what is the background and who the parents are of this murderer?. What on earth could possess the killing of this innocent old lady?. Makes me very angry, and my mind boggles.
